With the formation of CRE clubs in communities, the children in the respective villages in all the districts in Tamil Nadu are eager to participate in the Grama Sabha meetings that were held six times last year (26^th January – Republic Day, 22^nd March – World Water Day, 1^st May – Worker’s Day, 15^th August – Independence Day, 2^nd October – Gandhi Jayanthi and 1^st November – Local Governance Day), wherein local issues are being discussed and decided. The facilitators give orientation to the children about the functioning of local bodies and the importance of Grama Sabha meetings.
