More girl children taking part in club activities in communities

The girl children are actively participating in many of the club activities across the state and this is a positive sign towards gender equality. Most of the facilitators are women and they do encourage the participation of girl children in all the activities. In the long run, this will reflect in the attitude of male members in the communities (Lesson 5 in Module-1 speaks about pre-conceived notions and discrimination based on caste, creed, and gender) and this will make the children reflect on gender inequality and discriminative practices at all levels in our society.  The group exercises given in the modules make the children creatively involve to go around their villages to observe the ground realities and look at things and events critically from a rights perspective. They are able to raise questions and critically analyze established concepts and wrong notions.
